William Qian
President & Founder
William Qian is a 12th grader at BASIS Shavano high school. He founded the Eco-Share Initiative in 2023 to raise awareness of the worsening condition of the environment after enduring one of the hottest and longest Texas summers in history and the winter "snowpocalypse". William enjoys spending time with his family and cat, playing Minecraft with friends, and competitive mathematics. He is also a 2-time AIME qualifier with distinction and a math enthusiast.
Paul Morton, PhD, MD, Director
Dr. Paul Morton received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering as an ROTC student from Purdue University and upon graduating, was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. After three years of flying helicopters for the Army in Vietnam, he attended the University of Missouri to receive his M.S., M.D. in Obstetrician Gynecology, and Ph.D. in electrical engineering. During his Obstetrician Gynecologist residency at Washington University in St. Louis, he joined the Air Force which ultimately led him to his permanent home in San Antonio, Texas. He was the Chair of the OBGYN Department at Brooke Army Medical Center before he opened his own private practice. He has been teaching at UTSA as a professor of practice since 2013
John Parsi, PhD, DDS
Director
Joseph John Parsi is a dentist in San Antonio where he has been serving his community for the last 25 years. He graduated from the University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch in 1998 and began his private practice thereafter. He also obtained a Master's Degree in business in 2005 from UTSA and served as a board member of Bexar County University Hospital Foundation for 15 years. Recently, he obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UTSA to help him design medical and dental microdevices. He enjoys long-distance running and cycling as well as Judo.
Maggie Jiang, CPA
Treasurer
Maggie Jiang is currently the Information Governance Advisor Lead at the United States Automobile Association's (USAA) data and analytics team. She has 10+ years of experience with Accounting and Auditing, and she looks forward to leveraging her financial acumen to support the Eco-Share Initiative's mission. Maggie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Texas. She also holds Certified Bank Auditor (CBA) and Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP) designation.
